    Martinez vs The Super 6

Who in the Super 6 can Martinez beat if he goes up 8 lbs to Super Middleweight? We're talking about Pacquiao, Mayweather, and Cotto vs Martinez, 2 of those fight 2 weight classes[13lbs below] below Martinez and the other one, Cotto, fights 6lbs below. But how about Martinez going up 8lbs and fighting the Super 6?

I personally think he'd do good against the slower guys, Froch, Abraham, Johnson, Green I don't know about Kessler. I think Ward and Dirrell would be too much.

I think Ward beats him and Dirrell and Froch would be 50/50 fights

I also think Bute beats him

I didn't add Kessler because he's not in the Super 6 anymore but I think Kessler beats Martinez.

I think Bute's size and power would be very dangerous for Martinez, but Bute can't fight him just coming forward. I think Bute can beat him, but he'll need more than just his power to do that.

168 is too much, he's still a small MW, but he'd beat Green who's weak minded (Wouldn't be much of an accomplishment), and he'd have a really good chance of beating AA. That's about it. He should stay away from 168.

            Green would definitely get destroyed
Johnson gives anyone trouble but i can't seem him beating Martinez
Kessler and him would possibly be a 50/50 fight considering Kessler has a phenomenal jab that can prolly get to Sergio.
Froch is a bit too slow for Martinez imo. Froch looks great against guys as slow as him but against speedy fighters...he has problems.
Dirrell and Martinez would be a huge chess match and its a toss up in my opinion, dirrell might be too big and too strong considering he's also fast.
Ward i think has a edge over Martinez eventho Martinez definitely isn't afraid to fight plus I don't think Ward will have an easy time trying to fight inside since Martinez likes to slug it out on the inside and can do it just as smart(Bika thought since he was rough on the inside too, he would win it out but he wasn't as smart about it)
            Bute i haven't seen much, so i can't say.

I agree with that, against slow guys he actually looks like a Cobra. But against fast guys he looks more like Carl "The Sloth" Froch. That's why I give Martinez the edge in that fight: his handspeed.

I know. But you know, Cotto, Pacquiao, and Mayweather are/were already small WW's. I mean there are 140 pounders bigger/taller than Pac/May/Cotto. So if people don't mind seeing small guys come up to fight Martinez, they shouldn't mind Martinez going up to a weight class where he'd be small in.

For example Maidana and Ortiz at 140 and at 5' 9" each, come in fight night weighing more than May/Pac come in at fight night at 147. Either they're pretty big JWW's or May and Pac are small WW's. Cotto at 5' 7" will always be at a height disadvantage at 154 already.

So that's what I was saying, if people are willing to ask for these small WW's/JMW's to fight Martinez, then they should also ask for Martinez to fight guys up in the Super 6.

                    That sounds too extreme though.

Edit: I'd also pick him to beat Johnson, box around him.
