I agree with this although I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as Max was asking who does he have to fight to claim that title.Comment

This. It isn't so much that Sergio is technicallly better, he still has bad habits but the guy has massive power. I think if he wants to get #1 P4P he needs to move up to 168, I understand he recently came up from 154, but he's a full fledged MW who is KO'ing guys cold, 168 shouldn't be an issue. Froch/Martinez anyone?Comment

Martinez had a 154lb title like, a year ago, and you guys are using him having a 160 belt now as an excuse for Cotto to duck him.
Lame lame lame.
First it was okay for everyone to avoid Williams because he was "Too tall" and now that Martinez beat him, Martinez is now "Too big." Pathetic! If you can make the weight, you have just as much a right to fight in the weight class as anyone else. Fuck these protective fanboys and their excuses.Last edited by paulf; 03-13-2011, 02:50 PM.Comment

If Sergio goes down to 154 I'm all for a Cotto fight, but Sergio himself said after the first Williams fight he's done at 154. He is asking Cotto to move up in weight, who is pretty much maxed out at 154, there is nothing wrong with just being too small. Cotto has balls and will fight anyone, but whether it be Floyd, Manny or Cotto, Segio puts them all to sleep he is a huge guy there are weight classes for a reason.Martinez had a 154lb title like, a year ago, and you guys are using him having a 160 belt now as an excuse for Cotto to duck him.
