  • The type of fighter you would build to beat Martinez right now?

I would say since Williams did beat him a few fights ago, that is a template, but Martinez clearly showed in the rematch he wasn't going to bothered by that again. Pure pressure won't get it done, and just trying to box him won't get it done unless you have a good height and/or reach advantage. Martinez also still has issues with stamina, having to take breaks in the middle of the fight.

I guess the worst thing for Martinez would be a taller fighter with a reach advantage and a damn good jab that could land first, and throws lots of punches. Anyone fitting that description out there?

Nobody under 168 will beat him

Pirog will get destroyed by him

    Bute-Sergio is the fight IMO

If Martinez can handle 168, that is one hell of a fight.

Guys at 168 will give him trouble Bute is 6'3 with good boxing skills and power, Ward with his dirty ass tactics. Kessler another good fight but I think Kessler is almost done today with his eye injuries and stuff. Actually if Joe wasn't retired I would love to see that fight.
Two highly intelligent boxers who can adapt in any situation.

I've said this before...NOONE under 68 can beat Sergio IMO....I've also said that I think James DeGale could beat IF he had 2 or 3 years more under his belt....I think Sergio gets touched more by southpaws than right hand bombers....Dirrell or DeGale IMO has the tools to beat Sergio

IF he went up to 68...they would beat him
IF they went down to 60.....he would beat the breaks off them drained zombies lol

Dirrell vs Martinez at a catch would be cool right now....but I doubt Dirrell could get down under 68 being as though he had a small problem on the scales when he fought Froch.....DeGale is too green....IF Bute can make a weight under 68....I'm sure Sergio wouldn't mind going to Canada and beating up one of their adopted sons

I think Golovkin has the chin, punch, skill and timing to have the best shot at 160. Pirog has a good shot too i think and the style clash would be beautiful to watch.

who did Sergio beat to make so many think he could handle a Mayweather? Williams, Pavlik, or Dzink fight nothing like Floyd. Floyd is much faster then anyone's he's fought and he's techniqaly way better then anyone he's fought. I just cant see anyone who keeps there hands down so much having a chance against Floyd.

He's a Southpaw so that will give him a good chance but after 3 or 4 rounds Floyd will figure him out and then he shuts him out. Sergio is bigger but its not like he would use his size against Floyd. I just cant see him beating Floyd accept for catching him early with some Southpaw BS.

Afterall, he just did lose to Williams, Pavlik may have beaten him if it wasnt for the cut, and Dzink had some good moments. I dont see him beating Floyd

A bigger, faster Dzinziruk who gets off first could beat Martinez. The issue Dzinziruk had last night is that besides Martinez' freakish athleticism and speed is that his punches couldn't severely hurt Martinez even though he started landing more of them at the end of the fight.
