Easy. Money my friend. Sergio is looking for a payday. Sergio deserves a payday, so, you can't blame the guy for at least trying to get a payday. Also, what you just said is a contradiction and hypocritical.

You don't think Sergio should be fighting smaller guys but you want Sergio to fight bigger guys.

But I don't agree with Manny needing to fight Sergio for his legacy. Manny is not superhuman and this is a dangerous sport. I don't think anyone with a right mind would criticize Manny for not wanting to move up to 154 and fight Sergio.

I don't think a lot people can appreciate what Manny has done. In over 100 years of the sport no one has come close to moving up in weight like Manny.

I think its unfair for people to ask Manny to move up EVEN more and fight a beast like Martinez.
i agree..manny would have a difficult time with sergion at 154...but why would he go up?? isnt he the cashcow?? f u wanna get rich then someting has got to give..and its not manny giving....

just be honest and admit that Martinez makes you nervous and you think that Martinez would DESTROY YOUR FAVORITE FIGHTER...instead of just making up a bunch of BULL****
You sir, got this shyt right. I'm amazed at all the hating on Martinez. This dude is the real p4p champion right now. He is not juiced up, and is not fighting old, washed up, shot fighters. Its the truth, the Cotto fans are terrified while the *******s are trembling. Funny how they give Margarito a pass but not Martinez?

The truth is Martinez retires Cotto. Cotto ducked Cintron and he will sure duck Martinez after that awesome performance.
          Keep hating, bytches. Maravilla Rifa!

No of us have ever seen him above 160, tough question to answer. But he can definitely fight in his division. Where are you going with this?

Bob Arum decides who Cotto fights so I don't think Arum would put Cotto in the ring with Sergio at the moment he looks unbeatable right now and Cotto is trying to climb back to the top after a few more fights at 154 Cotto might be ready for the challenge

You can't argue or install common sense when you are biased or delusional or hate. These elements will cloud your judgement. You really have to be analytical and use common sense.

Sergio is a great fighter and Manny is too. But they each have their own motivations and goals. Martinez wants to fight the best and get paid while doing it. Manny wants to keep rolling by knocking guys out in his own division.

Their motivation are very different, and, more importantly, they are in two different weight classes. There is no need to criticize these fighters.

Manny doesn't have to move up in weight to fight Sergio, and Sergio doesn't need to move up in weight to fight super middle weights.

Manny will probably stay at 147 and fight someone who is at 147, or some other fighter moving up from 140. Like Tim Bradley.

Sergio will keep beating middleweight contenders until one of these 154 or 160 pounders step up to the plate. I don't think think a fight with Cotto, Margarito, or Chavez is out of the question. These are big fighters so they shouldn't have trouble with the weight. The question is, are the handlers of these fighters allow them to fight Martinez? I don't think so. They will make every fight possible before fighting Martinez.

It unfortunate for Martinez, but hey, that's life.
