If Martinez was "Man Enough" he would fight someone his own size not someone in a weight class 1-2 divisions below him. Why should Pacquiao or Cotto move up to fight him when 1) he doesn't bring any money to the table and 2) he won't move up to fight any of the top fighters at 168?

Sergei Drinzirk is a overrated bum in the first place, Martinez doesn't deserve to move up in the P4P rankings at all after this one

I don't know that, thanks for the heads up. Another Mexico-Puerto Rico war in the making, eh?

      There's also gamboa.

You are contradicting yourself, son. You make no sense, and your head is too far up your ass for you realize it.
cotto is a blown up welterweight with a *welterweight* frame.....martinez has a super middleweight frame & he's bigger then a lot of super middleweights......even Dzinziruk looked like a child compared to him.

cotto vs martinez is a joke because cotto is a smaller fighter (MUCH smaller then Dzinziruk) with his best days behind him. a blown up welterweight who's been in countless wars vs a guy that can be a super middleweight is a joke of a fight...

for you to call on such a fight is sorta PATHETIC & hilarious all at the same time hahaha

That's all he wants, I can't believe these guys still haven't noticed that Cotto is only behind Pac and Mayweather when it comes to PPV attraction.

Cotto is still huge on the east coast, I know a lot of P.R. people and that's all they were talking about fighting this weekend, the dude still has a huge fanbase.

When Sergio Martinez moved up and fought Pavlik and Paul Williams they weren't in his weight class. But he went up to 160 to fight these guys and won. IDK why people think Sergio is a super middleweight, just a little over a year ago Sergio was fighting at 154. He only moved up in weight because the opportunity to make some money and fight on HBO presented itself.

And just because Sergio whooped SD doesn't mean Sergei doesn't mean he wasn't good. You probably have never seen Sergei fight until last night, so, you can't have an opinion on someone you've never seen fight. Sergei has been a 154 champ for about 4 years and had about over 200 amateur fights. He was an accomplished amateur fights and won every professional fight. Just because Sergio beat him doesn't mean he sucks.

Love your answer. Cotto vs Marg and Cotto vs Berto/Chavez. I see Cotto winning both. Not easy, but winning both if he is smart and avoids getting cut too much.

Much lesser fighters are getting paydays, and Martinez wants his. Unfortunately for Martinez the best paydays are against guys are one-two divisions down.

If you were Martinez, and you had the option of fighting Sturm or Pirog for about 2 million, or fight Cotto or Manny for 5 million. Which fight would you want?

                Exactly.
but martinez wants to be the pound for pound king... and in his mind, the only way to achieve it is by challenging smaller men... oh i mean, challenging pacquiao, floyd or cotto... martinez never mentioned anything about money, its always been of being the top pound for pound fighter... if he wants it so much, why not defy the odds and campaign at 168?... at least duplicate what floyd, manny and the other greats has done.. and that is to move up in weight and still be effective doing it...

Dude, two years ago Sergio was fighting at 154. You act as if Sergio has fought at 160 and 168. What are you talking about? The only reason Sergio moved up to 160 was because Pavlik pulled out of his fight with Paul Williams. Sergio raised his hand and said "I'll move up to 160 and fight Paul Williams". If it weren't for that Sergio might STILL be at 154.

I think you suck big Cotto nuts and your just don't want to see your man get beat. And that's understandable. but don't say ****** things like Sergio "has a super-middle weight frame and Cotto has jr. welterweight frame and blah blah.

you are right but I think mikee is still 3-4m fights away from any of these two fighters. He needs some more ripening and fighting remillard is a step towards the right direction. Not saying juanma and gamboa is gonna happen first but I think this fight is on TR's top priority.
