Who should ranked higher in Pound for Pound ranking. .

After the win of Martinez, who should ranked higher in pound for pound ranking?

I think Donaire coz his win against Montiel is more impressive than Martinez win over Dzinziruk ..

Donaire should be ranked higher than Martinez coz he beat the Linear Bantamweight Champion in Montiel by kO.

i think martinez because he has been getting steady great results in the last 2 years, while nonito's win was his first significant one since the vic ko

Martinez has beaten Williams, Pavlik, and Dzinziruk for his best wins.

Donaire beat Darchinyan 3 or 4 years ago and Montiel recently.

I give it to Martinez due to taking on so many tough fights in a row while Donaire has had a long break between key wins.

Tough one . . I'm going to say Martinez. The Montiel KO is more significant then the Dzinsirik KO, but Martinez has also defeated Paul Williams a top ten p4p, (wasn't he 3rd when Martinez KO'd him) Dzinsirik was an undefeated champ as well so it counts for something, most give him a win over cintron, he defeated kelly pavlik a lineal champ, etc etc. He's been on quite a run from 147 to 160. No disrespect to nonito, but i give Martinez p4p 3, and maybe boost him to 2 or 1 depending on if Manny and Floyds competition doesn't start improving soon.

To get straight to the point. Theres a reason Sergio was fighter of the year last year, because he fought the best competition and looked the best doing it. While Manny and Nonito were fighting bums or insignificat fights, Sergio has been forced to move up in weight and be dictated to whom he will fight. IMHO Sergio is the number 1 P4P fighter in the world. Not because I like him but because of his body of work.

Fair enough, but let's be real here: Donaire was the MUCH bigger man against Montiel. He was SUPPOSED to win that fight. Martinez was SUPPOSED to beat Sergei as well, but his prior fights make him better p4p, IMO.

Exactly. Martinez has been taking nothing but the toughest fights.
