yes....this has to happen imo. Martinez is too big for MP i believe and prob too big for Floyd aswell, who is still a small/mid sized WW by historical standards.

If Floyd doesn't fight this year and beat a good opponent in impressive fashion (winner of Berto/Ortiz, Bradley, Khan or MP) Martinez should get the number 2 spot. In fact he should prob get it now. P4P is subjective....however Martinez and Donaire are snapping at Manny and Floyd's heels very aggressively right now.

If DiBella is smart they will have him fight Arthur Abraham at 160.

i was thinking the same thing just now,as a matter of fact i thought of that before this fight,compare sergio's last couple of fights and they were tougher opponents than what manny has been through,margarito and 40 yr.old shane doesn't compare to williams and this guy tonight,these guys were threats to martinez,margarito everybody was saying would be used as a punching bag and shane too,talk like that wasn't even mentioned with williams,cintron,dzinziruk,pavlik

I was actually really impressed by Sergei. He looked much better in this fight than he did in the fights I saw on youtube. Martinez was too strong for him. Sergei will own the 154 lb division from what I saw tonight.

No way either Pacquiao or Mayweather will ever fight Martinez. He is just way too big and weighed 170 lbs by fight time. Pacquiao has never weighed more than 148 lbs at fight time and Mayweather only weighed 150 lbs when he fought ODLH. I am not sure what Mayweather weighed at fight time against ODLH but guarantee it wasn't close to 170 lbs. Martinez is way too big with too many skills and I believe neither fighter should be in the ring with him let alone that neither fighter could beat him...
