60 Million people watched Canelo's Fight in Mexico

In an unprecedented event, more than half the population inMexico sat in front of the TV to watch in action undefeated Saul"Canelo" Alvarez, proclaimed new world champion middleweight(WBC), last Saturday at the Honda Center Anaheim, California.

Unofficially, in investigations into the Canal de Chapultepec, it was learned that the transmission boxing reached a peak of 24.8in the final rounds. So the strong rating was 23.9, with peaks of 24.8.

Promotions Canelo spokesman explained that "every rating pointis equivalent to 600 thousand households, which means that 15 million households were on the TV on Channel 5. If this is multiplied by four people, who on average make up a family we are talking about 60 million viewers were aware of what 'ElCanelo' did in the ring. "

Wow. Canelo is a HUGE asset to boxing. Though I fear his popularity is so high for all the wrong reasons, there is no dis*****g that Canelo is good for boxing.
