Don't mean to be disrespectful to Iceman but he is not as popular as Tyson, Hearns, etc.

He knows an awful lot about "himself", to be a fraud.
I also believe he has written for legitimate boxing sources.

If he was a fake, he'd have had someone besides you (someone close to the "real" Scully) de-bunking him.

I am currently hard at work trying to finish this book on boxing that I started writing more than two years ago. On a percentage scale I think that, as of June 17, I am about 85 percent finished with it and I am hopeful that the editing and printing will be done by the end of July 2005.

It is BASICALLY my autobiography that branches off into many other aspects of boxing including the many people I have met and things I have seen and done over the last twenty-five years that I have been involved in this game as an amateur boxer, professional boxer, trainer and fan.

Chapters in the book include subjects such as the rise and fall of Roy Jones Jr., the state of amateur boxing today and a history of amateur boxing in this country, a commentary on the state of boxing today as opposed to when I was first coming up in the early 1980's. I cover my own career and give detailed accounts of the before, during and after of bouts with men like Nunn, Baylis, Maske and Roccigianni. I also give detailed memories of sparring with the likes of Pazienza, Jones and Toney. And much more, maybe THIRTY chapter in all.

I am telling anyone and everyone that this book will be "The realest boxing book ever" and when I say that I mean that I will give you the real scoop on what it is like to be a fighter, what it is like to be in a ring and what fighters really think of other fighters, the fans etc. I have read many, many boxing books and I have never seen one quite like mine, a book that lets the reader know what we really think when we are in the ring and what boxers really go through.

No matter what your interest in boxing is I have the feeling that my book will cover it at some point a long the way. Add that to some of the very interesting pictures I will include and I think this book will eventually draw a great deal of attention among fans and fighters alike.

Keep checking back to this site or email me personally at IceJohnScully@aol.com and I will gladly get back to you with all details and updates. Until then I have included an excerpt from the book that will give you an idea of what the rest of the book is going to be like.

Until I hear from you, Keep cool
            ICEMAN

I'll believe it's him, until someone besides a bonged-down Californian comes on here & challenges his legitimacy.
