There's no reason PPV should exist. Had we not spoiled fighters with millions of dollars in the early era of the sport, boxers wouldn't have leverage or expect those kind of paychecks. As the demand dies so does the bigger pay checks which opens the door for better fights and may drive up viewership that way. Then and maybe then can they fix the structure of pay for fighters. You can't tell me any athlete deserves 40 million dollars for 36 minutes of work.
Why does PPV exist?

Demand for fights is the reason PPV exists. If fans didn't think a fight was worth 50 or 60 dollars they wouldn't buy it. But they do and they do.There's no reason PPV should exist. I hate paying $60 to watch any fight, but I love boxing so damn much that I put up with it a few times a year.Comment
