Hatton gets offer to fight Zab

*********.com is reporting that Ricky Hatton has received an offer of $4.1 Million US plus a share of PPV revenues to fight Zab Judah. This is a joint offer from Frank Warren and Don King that Warren hopes will keep Hatton from leaving him. Warren doesn't think that the fight with Maussa will go off for various reasons, one being that he says he has a deal in place to promote Ricky's next three fights and that legal proceedings have begun.

Looks like its going to be quite the soap opera!

I don't think this fight will happen at 147. Zab would have to move down to 140. 147 is practically dead when it comes to big money fights. No one at that weight can headline an event anymore. I guess you can argue Mosley but I doubt it.

IMO, this is a PR move to make it look like Warren is offering big, lucrative fights when he knows the fight with Maussa is signed and official. It makes his case look better in court...where was this offer last week before the Maussa fight was done?

Can't we get a fight with two fighters in the same freaking weight class anymore? This sport is killing itself.

              we could easily have

              Hatton-Floyd
              Judah-Margarito
              Mosley-Margarito
              Winky-Sturm
              Lacy-Joe C

This should be the first and last word on this issue. Nothing else needs to be said.
