i heard the exact same thing. i worked with a lady from Spain and she said that Mexican Spanish is not real Spanish what ever that means

saying british english is not real english

it's about different dialects
not right/wrong/real languages

Some Spanish people consider their dialect of Spanish the only right way to speak it. Sometimes other dialects of Spanish are hard to understand, but Mayorga's isn't.
