Nah, at this point in his career it doesn't really matter who he has in his corner. He's way too experienced at this point. He knows how to handle his business. Emanuel Steward pretty much is there to tell Cotto what he already knows. Kind of like when Steward was with Chavez when he fought Frankie Randall. It didn't change jack.He didn't struggle with Yuri Foreman but thats beside the point. Cotto's looked like **** since the Mosley fight because he hasn't had a trainer, he had a guy holding the mitts for him a yes man. Having a REAL trainer in your corner makes major improvements especially when Cotto is already a very solid fighter to begin with. Sure Cotto's been in some rough fights lately, but he's had quite a long time off with an easy win in Foreman in between. Mayorga hasn't fought in two years, is 7 years older and has been smoking two packs a day for 20 years. Even if you're right in that Cotto is a washed up has been/never was, he's still is a better fighter and in better shape than Mayorga. I mean seriously, Emmanuel Steward refused to work with Mayorga if Cotto was such trash he wouldn't have worked with him either.Comment

Pretty much. It takes about 60 seconds to take a photo of a ticket with your phone, copy it to the computer, then toss it up here.
Six pages of people calling the out TS, and he still hasn't put up a pic yet he's replying a bunch in the thread pretty much exposes him.
Got to call bull****.
At least, I hope he's lying. Hate to see someone throw their money away.Comment

Yeah, but this isn't a young Muhammad Ali, this is "Has-Been/Never-Was" Mayorga. Hey, but you know what they say," el que no arriesga, no gana."Comment

Nah, Broener was supposed to win. De Leon was used as a stepping stone.some of u guys give a *** way too much about this guys money lol.
not a good bet by any means but im sure you'd feel no worse than someone betting a big sum on cotto and watching him crumble if THAT were to happen.
i like cotto alot but not enough to act like a loss is impossible =p
we recently saw the example of an akward style causing some problems in deleon/broner match and cotto/mayorga can turn out as such too... hard to find sparring partners who fight like a mayorga.Comment
