Hmm, it wouldn't outright surprise me if he whispered that. I didn't catch him whispering anything, but I need to watch it again. You are 100% correct in that Pacquiao showed Mercy. He did it against Cotto too, and he felt very bad about what he did to hatton afterwards - his mom talked to him about it and wanted him to retire not only for his safety, but for OTHER fighters safety too.
While he loves to box, and has the purest, most natural form of fighting spirit in him - he IS NOT a killer in that ring.

i mean he is a killer in the good, humble way. but some fighters really want to hurt their opponent en route to victory - pacquiao clearly does not enjoy that aspect of the sport.
