    o/u 8.5 rounds for Cotto-Mayorga

    New to the forum...

Lookin' to see what you guys think about a real bet, with real money though.

Being offered the over/under at 8.5 rounds for Cotto/Mayorga. Seems like an easy decision.

    TOTAL ROUNDS (MAY/COT) o8½-120
    TOTAL ROUNDS (MAY/COT) u8½-110

    Under.

Would the rest of you risk your real money on this?

      He's a huge dude.

My book doesn't have the odds for that fight though. Just the cotto ones are up right.

I'd throw something on my boy Pawel Wolak if they had it.

Wolak is tailor made for Foreman. He's very aggressive and has a good chin, but he's going to chase instead of cutoff and is going to run into many counters.

The over is a decent bet for Cotto-Mayorga based on history (most of Cotto's stoppages are from accumulation that ends past the 8th, Mayorga is bigger, stronger, possibly faster, and has only been stopped past the 7th round by a focused hard punching De La Hoya), but I would stay away from it personally.

From the fights of Mayorga's I've seen, I don't remember his opponents doing much body work and I question the amount of conditioning and core work, he's done. I don't think he would handle clean Cotto body shots too well and if Cotto deflates his tank, it'll be target practice, where he won't let up.
