Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sports has told Sky Sports that he is hoping to put together an International version of Prizefighter: The Heavyweights later this year. Hearn did not name any names but he believes that the lure of a one night knockout contest could entice “former champions” as Matchroom seek to expand the popular format.

They should go get George Foreman into this tournament. The man has been looking for his last pay days. So, it won't be a bad idea. He will be the rest up match before the war match who knows... It won't be a bad idea still. Name brand blah blah blah...

Thunderbox. I always liked the format. Very exciting. Good exposure. A night of fights in which the seats are full and the tv's are on from start to finish. Given the chance I'm sure the WBC would offer up some version of belt for the occasion.

Why not make it with 8-10 round bouts? Those short exhibition matches tourneys are meaningless.

cos u cant fight 3 8-10 rd bouts in one night.

this way u get a winner a few hours after the tounry starts, they're good fun to watch.
