Mayorga held the head, Spinks was still bent over Mayorga throws the shot while Spinks is huddled over. Any ref with credibility would call it a slip...But that is my unbiased opinion, I would rule that a slip with any 2 fighters in the same scenario.
where do you see him holding. His arm is clearly not holding anything. Even if he was holding, how does that make him slip?
No no no, he was holding his head down and as he let go Spinks was still bent over from him holding his head down and when Spinks is bent over he throws the shot....The ref I am sure noticed the holding and saw the punch and figured it didnt count considering that Spinks was off balance from the pushing down of the head...But whatever it doesnt matter, I am not budging on how I view it and neither will anybody else. I rule it a slip because of the holding.
but when he landed the punch he didn't hold the head
i'd say its a KD
But the same time he let go the punch was already thrown...That isnt real time, I am sure it was a lot quicker and the ref didnt catch it. Aside from that I still see it as holding and since Spinks is still crouched over and off balance it is a slip as when he was throwing the punch Mayorga was letting his head go at the same time.
