Canelo is NOT the youngest JMW champ ever

Saul Alvarez: born July 18th, 1990. Won vacant WBC JMW title on March 5th, 2011.

    20 years, 7 months, 17 days

Darrin Van Horn: born September 7th, 1968. Won IBF JMW title from Robert Hines on February 5th, 1989.

    20 years, 4 months, 28 days

Seriously, why do you guys go around spreading false information just for the hell of it?

Well your story seems to check out on boxrec, good find.

Not only that, he beat a defending champ at 154.

Of course, fat Dan's e-mail is nowhere to find. I will have to get at him next time he has a chat. But knowing Dan, he will most likely ignore my message and continue pretending that Canelo is indeed the youngest JMW champ.

Apparently, Van Horn is also the youngest SMW champ ever. Never heard of the dude before, but cool.

Me neither it seems he lost it in his 1st defense but where did you find that out.

In Dan's defense though on ESPN he admitted he really didn't watch boxing until Gatti/Ward1 which was when like 2001.
