I think that what's gonna happen is that there will be some BS about the venue. Negociations will be off, and Ortiz will headline against another 147 pounder on April 16th. Managers always have a back up opponent. I have a feeling that Koltelnik or Senchenko will be in line for Ortiz on April 16th. This Ortiz vs Berto negotiation was probably a measurement to see how many people are interested in the fight; should they make it a PPV. They let the fans advertise for it. It's already a month before fight night and there still isn't a venue or press conferrence? This is total BS...Promoters wanted to know if this is a sellable fight for future refferences....Dibella and GBP are putting their cash cows on the line for a non PPV fight? Nah I don't see it happening now...
I have a feeling that Berto vs Ortiz will NOT be made...

hmm... you could be right, you bandit.
Where is the press conference?
I hope Ortiz decides to fight somebody else because I think Berto will be too much for him. In fact, I prefer Ortiz-Kotelnik over Ortiz-Berto because Ortiz has a much better chance in beating Kotelnik. It will also force Berto to fight some other legit 147 fighter.Comment

I think Ortiz dominates Berto...He's too flat on his feet and yes he has speed but he can't bounce with Ortiz to keep up with the rythm. The fact that the younger, lighter Ortiz is the best Berto has faced explains a lot...Besides that I agree that Ortiz-Koltelnik should be made at 147 since both wanna move up...hmm... you could be right, you bandit.

Victor Ortiz should just hang the gloves. He is too squeamish for boxing. Andre Berto should fight Selcuk Aydin. Ortiz is just a journeyman at best.Comment

Ortiz got a gift draw against Lamont Peterson. Ortiz also cheated on the scales in that fight.I think Ortiz dominates Berto...He's too flat on his feet and yes he has speed but he can't bounce with Ortiz to keep up with the rythm. Andre Berto would be much too dangerous for Victor Ortiz.Comment
