It should be Margarito that Mayorga is fighting for the right to fight Cotto. Instead, a guy that got battered for 12 rounds in his last fight gets to sit by and potentially get the winner of the Cotto vs. Mayorga fight when a) Mayorga has done nothing to earn a shot and b) Margarito has lost his last two fights of any consequence. I think Arum knows Margarito is on the downslide and he might lose his next fight so it's best to let him sit by and try to sell the public one more big fight with him in it. I may be wrong but the beatings Margarito took from Mosley and Pacquiao have to have an affect on him. Even though he had lost before, he had never been battered from pillar to post like both Mosley and Pac did. Maybe I am wrong but I think Cotto has more left in the tank than Marg does at this point...

agree,i think arum knows this and is just trying for one more big fight,and u right,it will have an effect on him with those beatings he has taken,that was a massive beating from pacquiao and mosley did good too,i think the evidence started to show in his fight against that guy he fought in mexico,he looked awful,and it was definitely proven in the pac fight,he's finished,he's looked like garbage in his last three fights,nobody can't argue with that
