This is kinda bad in a way! If this guy can get these kinds of ratings for a Boxing After Dark show against a no-hoper like Hatton, they are going to put him on PPV when he facing anyone who even has a remote chance of beating him. And not only that, they will have ****ty undercards because they know the main event will draw the crowd. Unless this guy improves trememdously before they make you pay to see him, I will be catching him a week later on the HBO replays for free. This is good and bad...

MAYWEATHER EFFECT! I WATCHED TO SEE IF ALVAREZ WOULD BE BEAT BY A LESSER FIGHTER. IN A WAY HE DID, HE COULDNT KO A SMALLER LIMITED GUY. CANT WAIT FOR HIM TO TAKE ON SOMEONE HIS OWN SIZE WITH ABILITY.

This is what you call the Matthew 'Magic' Hatton effect.

This kind of sucks because now it opens the door for Golden Boy to put Alvarez in with bums. They now know he can fight anyone and do huge numbers. I think what's more impressive is that Kirkland had scored huge numbers. 1.4 million is more than what Alexander/Bradley did and that had a lot of hype. Shows that if Kirkland keeps his head on straight huge paydays are coming his way. People want to see James bring the smack down.

                      you know what they say:

when you beat a legend, you become a legend.

Saul Alvarez, has just become a legend.
