until they can fight at a high level, well paced fight, with technique instead of excessive clinching and lumbering punches, i will support HW boxing, until then, it's a side show of freaks and slobs..............

Needless to say, I'll be rooting for Wlad.

If Vitali defeats Solis and Wlad wins the fight with Haye, then they will have achieved their dream of having all the major belts. If they succeed, Vitali will likely retire by the end of this year.

That would be a great ending for the Klitschko's but for Wladimir, greatness beckons. I know Haye isn't a prime Mike Tyson but he represents the biggest (perceived) threat in the division. And he does possess credentials - a unified cruiser champ and a titleholder HW in his prime. Young and confident. With the kind of personality that can sell the fight. I think this is a grand opportunity for Wladimir to stamp a nice big seal on what has been a dominant reign, not just by winning but with a performance that fans can remember. And something he can look back on as a defining victory.

I am torn on this fight.

Wlad winning would be good as I like the guy even if I am a bigger fan of his brother.

Haye winning would be good as it would shake up the division and he is obviously British like me.

I want it to be a good fight more than anything, and if it's a good fight, then I won't mind who wins. That said, I think it would be better for boxing if Wlad wins, but only if he wins in style. If Haye wins and then retires, that would be bad for boxing because it would leave the division in a worse mess than ever. Also, I've got a hell of a lot of points on Wlad winning. But I'll still be rooting for a good fight rather than for either boxer.

In the last couple of years, though, coinciding with the whole Haye affair really heating up (from Haye's KO of Barrett on), I've sensed a fresh relish in his performances, regardless of how methodical. Almost as if having a nemesis has brought some desire and sparkle back into work he was growing weary of. He's definitely a meaner, harder presence in the ring now than at this time 3 years ago, IMO. And I'm not talking about how many rounds he takes to stop a guy.

I think that after the Ibragimov fiasco, Wlad and especially Steward realised that his style had become too over-cautious for his own good and that he had to change quick or no one would want to watch him any more. Since then, he has become slightly less over-cautious with every fight.

I don't think it's got anything to do with Haye. I think that after the Ibragimov fiasco, Wlad and especially Steward realised that his style had become too over-cautious for his own good and that he had to change quick or no one would want to watch him any more. Since then, he has become slightly less over-cautious with every fight.

I think the reason he was so cautious against Ibragimov was because Sultan was a lefty. He didn't want a repeat of the Corrie Sanders fiasco. That being said, he didn't have to worry, because whenever he pressed the action, he had Ibragimov on the ropes. He shoulda' just let loose and ko'd him.
