Yeah, the Calzaghe stuff pisses me off. The guy all along says, "I may hurt my hand, I may hurt my hand" and then he hurts his hand. Now he's saying he wants Winky, wow, a guy who has all of ONE fight at 160 and ZERO at 168. Damn it, this is a Roy Jones injury thread. Sorry.

Maybe he hsn't injured the hand at all, but wants to throw out a distraction.

If he's planning to fight through it, I don't see why he'd brodcast it.

I never knew Roy had brittle hands in the past.
Is that why he didn't throw that many right hands in alot of his fights?

well, he fractured his left wrist in a motorcycle accident before the fight. i know he was hurt in the hopkins fight too with his right hand, but i've never seen him complain of a hand injury during a fight.

Oh, and the difference is, Roy isn't pulling out. Also, Joe injured himself training multiple times...and pulled out within one week of a fight. Also cancelled on Glen Johnson 3 times.

pertaining to the news, if you're a roy jones fan, you could be optimistic and say that maybe roy's making this public to give the tarver camp more reason to underestimate him? maybe that's not the case, just a thought, but i don't honestly think it will have an effect in the fight come the 1st.
