Will David Haye pull out a week or two before the fight with Wladimir, like in 2009?

If you guys were Haye you also would have pulled out of the fight in light of Satanta going under.

And if you were Wlad you would also have pulled out of a Chisora fight to be in one of the true mega fights in a long, long time.

    Get over yourselves.

Haye also blatantly ducked Wlad again in 2010.

Wlad called out Haye right after the Ruiz fight, the scared coward Haye went into hiding for 6 months, then finally came out of hiding and announces he's fighting Fraudley.

Haye blatantly ducked Wlad again to fight tomato can bum Fraudley.

I say fighting Wlad in 2011 was his plan all along..

I mean, had he fought Wlad in 2009 and won, he'd be probably caught in an endless string of fights against both Klitschkos.. because October 2011 was too far away.

Now, he could destroy Wlad's legacy and claim to greatness and retire.

Klitschko's resume would be tainted forever

I'm worried both ways about an "injury" canceling this fight again. I'm not getting excited until they are both in the ring and the bell rings.

You can't compare the deal he was pulling out of then with the one he's signed this time. Even if Setanta hadn't gone bust, the deal he signed then was far worse than the one he's signed now. And on top of that, Setanta did go bust.

He would have to be literally insane to pull out this time - if he did, unless he could really prove beyond any doubt that it was with a genuine injury, he wouldn't get another chance and Sky wouldn't back him any more, so he couldn't even cash out with any more Harrison-type fights.

He won't pull out this time.

Before that he came out of hiding to say he had turned down the fight with Wlad because Haye wanted more than 50% of the purse. And his fans were defending him for it.

Wlad pulled out to fight Haye.

Haye pulled out to not fight Wlad.

                  Noticing the difference?

There is no such thing as medical proof for that type of muscle injury. And lots of doctors write sick notes for people who aren't really sick. It's true that Wlad provided a doctor's letter whereas Haye didn't bother to, but that doesn't prove anything. He had to get a doctor's letter or Warren would have sued. And the timing of it was strange to say the least, given the number of Ukrainian websites that had been saying for several days before he pulled out that he was about to pull out. I'm not saying the injury is definitely faked, but there is certainly no proof that it's genuine, and most of his own fans don't believe that it is.

Worked out in everyone's interests in the end, though. Wlad will make far more money now than he would have then, as will Haye.

The duck I objected to wasn't that one but the one last May. If he'd signed then, the fight would have been about as big as it is now, and the same deal was on the table then as now, but he wanted to make a few million fighting Harrison first. Which makes sense only if he is less confident of beating Wlad than he pretends to be.
