Comments Thread For: Robert Helenius-Sam Peter Battle is Set For April 2

Sauerland Event have announced that the Nordic Nightmare, 14-0 heavyweight Robert Helenius will defend the WBO I/C title against no other than the Nigerian Nightmare, former WBC champion Samuel Peter, April 2 in Halle/Westfalen. Helenius was first set to defend the EU crown against Yakup Saglam but Saglam never signed the contract and in comes Peter, not a bad substitute at all.

        I'm excited about this one!

Sam Peter is a experienced former world titleholder and a hard puncher. He's a dangerous opponent for Helenius in only his 15th pro fight.

Good fight, although maybe a little too early. I don't want Helenius to advance in the ranks too soon, he can stand to wait a couple of years. Peter should be prime to be beaten with the recent beating he suffered against Wladimir.

                I'll take the bet, although I think it's a 50-50 fight.

Both are hard punchers, so it definitely won't go the distance.

Sauerland is not exactly wrapping Helenius in cotton. This is a tough match-up for him. Sauerland must hope that Peter keeps entertaining the disco-circuit instead of the boxing gyms.

Good to see Helenius step up already against a guy Adamek decided not to take the risk with. I've only seen Helenius fight once, but Sam Peter is a beast!

The is an excellent example of interesting, dangerous matchups that are good for the sport. I give **** all about Helenius or Peter, but the two of them facing each other definitely has me interested.
