Comments Thread For: Steward Expects Early High Drama in Cotto-Mayorga

Emanuel Steward, trainer of WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (35-2, 28KOs), expects high drama very early during Saturday's fight against Ricardo Mayorga (29-7, 23KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The bout will be broadcast live on Showtime pay-per-view. Steward and Cotto are predicting an early knockout victory. Steward predicts Mayorga is going to come out in the first round with wild punches.

        UGH..

I'm just not hyped at all for this fight, it could turn out to be a war because Mayorga is a big guy who fights very awkward, but in no way does this fight help Cotto...I'm just waiting for July for Cotto-Margarito II after that hopefully Cotto proves his point and he can finally call it a career!..

nothing can be expected to come out from mayorga...he has only one style, and that is to swing his hands left and right for three rounds...

after that, he becomes stationary and his opponent will make his face a human punching ball...
