if he makes the right decisions he seems to have the drive and the talent to become a champion

additionally, he's got one of the more crowd pleasing styles on the planet.

there are some tremendous matches for him at 154, and he's eventually got the power to move to 160

i dont see him ever developing to the level of a great boxer, but his talent and intangibles should help him out where his boxing abilities might lack a bit

    he's a born killer
it's really something to watch when he is at his best.

being inactive and in prison hasnt helped him other than the fact that he wasnt being hit (he gets hit in his fights)

hopefully he can move his career along sooner than later
get back to something simmilar to his old form

and fight alfredo angulo in a card that should be called

    "Dogfight"

    but wont

James Kirkland is way overrated he is not a very skillful fighter and his style of fighting won't take him to far in boxing he lacks superstar potential to me can he be a champion tho yes

maybe GBP can make him look like a superstar by matching him up - but there is no way he walks out of a ring with his hand raised against an actual, skilled, powerful boxer like miguel cotto, sergio martinez, dzinziruk. AND he isn't anywhere near as good as the fresh crop of MW's: PIROG WOULD MURDER HIM! LOL. Andy Lee makes him look the fool, gennady golovkin TKO's him. daniel jacobs TKO's him.

If his power and speed are as good as we think they are, sky's the limit.

At Jr middleweight, I give him a good shot against anybody. Just because other fighters seem more skilled doesn't mean it's a forgone conclusion they'll beat him, boxing doesn't always work that way (look at Rios-Acosta). But really Andy Lee? Pirog, Golovkin and Jacobs? lmao, okay dude lay off the hate. Only one I can see beating him easily is Martinez.

maybe. Depending on how well he can be trained to put those to use. To be honest, he kind of reminds me of Pacquiao Pre first Morales loss. And we all saw how Pac got his game up. Now Pac can properly use all those natural talents. So maybe. . . I definitely am very excited about Kirkland and wanna see what he can do. I hope he doesn't get babied for too long.

The hate? Im not hating. Im just giving an honest assessment. Yes, he will fight at 154, but i just meant there is no where else to go, unless he wants to boil more weight and go to 147. cause 160 he will be WAAYYY out of his depth. and yes, i think that pirog, martinez, lee, jacobs, and golovkin all ball on kirkland. as well as cotto and dzinziruk at 154.

I like Kirkland and his no-nonsense fighting style. Dude is there to hurt somebody. He has that aaron pryor "scary type motivation" - put the fear of god in opponents hearts.

A title holder? Sure. A lineal champ? Don't think so.
