    José "Olivaritos" Morales, father and trainer of Erik "El Terrible" Morales, said he is not concerned with Marcos "Chino" Maidana's decision to switch his trainer from Miguel Diaz to Rudy Perez. Morales-Maidana happens on April 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Perez previously trained Morales' Mexican rival, Marco Antonio Barrera, for their legendary trilogy. Morales' father thinks Perez has nothing to offer Maidana, but lessons of dirty tricks.

    This move looks to me like Maidana has some doubts about a win,regardless what he says in interviews.

          He fired Diaz before this fight was signed. so, yes he did have doubts about winning without having a training camp.

            maybe maidana wants to improve his marketability by having a name trainer by his side for a while... even if it's by one new fan (for educational purposes, i'll call him rudy)
