Comments Thread For: Chavez-Zbik: Freddie Roach Hopes To Start Camp on 4/2

Trainer Freddie Roach is hoping to get Julio César Chávez Jr. (42-0, 30KOs) in training camp by April 2. Roach doesn't want Chavez to be rusty when he challenges Sebastian Zbik for the WBC middleweight title on June 4. After a career of having at least three bouts per year, Chavez only had a single bout in 2010 and so far he's had a single fight in 2011. He won a ten round decision win in January over Billy Lyell. Roach plans to increase his workload to make it the toughest camp of Julio's career.

lol come on the fair skinned one ain't a bum. he just isn't as good as they would like us to believe. He does have some crisp, flush combinations, though. I don't know how he can hold up under some heavy artillery, though.

but you are completely right - the WBC is on the verge of bankruptcy, and with pac not paying them commission fees - they need some money. it is just obvious that the WBC and oscar are in each others pockets. hey, whatever makes for good fights is all i care about

Who´s the fair-skinned one, idiot?? Chavez is lighter than many " whites" ( anglos) Canelo has lighter skin. Many so called whites are darker than Chavez, Malignaggi for instance. Yeah, he´s Italian, not a WASP. So, whenever I see a WASP that is not blond and looks like a viking, I´ll mention it.
