I think the Mexicans have already sided with Alvarez. Chavez Jr is only recognized because his father was the most celebrated fighter in Mexico's history.

With that said I think Chavez Jr. could use his height and jab with a little movement to give Alvarez some problems but if he stands in front of Alvarez he will get beat down.
