Only Cotto stands in Canelo's way

After adding a watered down title to his resume last night Canelo proved two things. 1) He might be the biggest draw at 20 years old since Tyson, and 2) At 154 we now know it's all about Cotto and Alvarez. JCC jr might be a good match up if he comes down from mw. It will draw huge in Mexico.

I am not impressed by Alvarez at all. Kid doesn't move his head and is very slow with his punches. Yes he throws nice combinations and yes he is a big boy but that is all he has going for him. Cotto has too much skill to put Alvarez in the ring with him.

At 20 years old he's close to being hailed as world class by respected athletes like RJJ. What other fighters out there at Canelo's age is even considered that level right now. He has so much time to develop into an elite fighter. He could easily wait one or two more fights like he said last night and then fight Cotto and chances are he'll still be around 21-22 years old. This guy is the future.

He better get those feet out of the cement he has them on and move that ****ing head if he wants to have more than 15 minutes of fame. He needs more than 2 fights to get in the ring with someone the caliber of Cotto.

i think anyone in his division who is young and puts pressure and has power can stop canelo. as much as i like canelo so far, i think he needs to lose in order to change or improve his flaws. he got caught by jose cotto, and since then hasn't really changed much. i think he would be unstoppable if he had a great corner, but i doubt that's going to happen, so for now, he is a young undefeated talent with his days numbered. hopefully he can change that though

Alvarez is gonna have to step up the comp real soon. If Gbp could, they would have him fight stiffs til he is about 23 or 24 but the hype around him right now is gonna demand for him to be thrown into the fire sooner than that. As for Cotto, I don't see Arum making a fight with Oscar anytime soon so forget that. Cotto would spank this kidd right now anyway so they should keep him away from him.

If Cotto and Alvarez are the best 154 offers i would not be surprised if Pac were to fight there again and at the full weight and prove to be a legit champ.
