Well, looks like Povetkin's people have finally found a way to get a title belt without having to fight anyone legitimate like the K brothers or Haye. That's what he's been searching for ever since he turned down his mandatory title shot a few years ago. Fight a 39-year-old blown-up cruiserweight and call it a title fight. Nice

        Exactly.

He'll receive a world title without needing to defeat a top heavyweight for it.

What they're doing to Chagaev is de****able. The WBA puts him in an eliminator, he wins, now he can't fight for the title.

They knew about the Hep B before - why put him in the eliminator?

Another example of how the sanctioning bodies are destroying the sport, we would already have an undisputed heavyweight champion if the WBA hadn't decided to just give Chagaev's title to Valuev.

Getting pretty bad, what's an eliminator then? What an absolute farce these organizations have become. The worse part is it has gotten much worse, the whole super champion title set off a chain of events that is ripping the sport apart. If Mayweather and Pacman want to change the sport of boxing for the better forget drug testing, fight for the World Welterweight championship. Wlad and Haye: world heavyweight championship. Martinez and Dzinzurik: World middleweight championship. Juanma and Gamboa: World featherweight championship. Pascal and Hopkins: World light heavyweight championship. World champion lightweight: Juan Manuel Marquez. World champion bantamweight: Nonito Donaire. World champion flyweight:vacant. World champion cruiserweight: vacant. I know I can hear John Lennon's Imagine playing too.

Haye wasnt lying about the WBA I guess, but instead of stripping him they're "promoting" him. What a load of ****.

Now if Wladimir wins, there will still be a WBA champion holding a belt. What a load of ****ing ****. The point in fighting Haye was for all the belts to be in the Klitschko family.

Hopefully when the money grubbing scum try and drop their super heavyweight division on us, this house of cards collapses.

The WBA see's the world through "greed tinted spectacles" this causes logic to be invisible to them. How they cannot see that they are cheapening their belts and selling fans short is beyond me.

On the positive side my Gran will become "WBA Super Heavyweight Tuesday Morning Diamantium Champ" this weekend, she is a 90 year old woman who would not be a heavyweight even if 4 of her friends stood on her shoulders but I simply asked (by asked mean paid) the WBA and voila a new belt is invented.

Look to be seeing genuine WBA world titles available in a sport shop near you soon (the title depends on how much you pay)
