This was a fight where he sould've been trying to showcase a good mixture of pop and Boxing ability. He failed to do that big time.
You're probably right. All that showing off was unwarranted. How you gonna show off when you're not dominating your opponent. Dudes a jackass.

I had it Ponce 8-2. I'm sure I'm in the minority though...

Ponce was the clear aggressor, but as far as cleaner, more effective shots landed, that was all Broner.

The only robbery here was that horrid scorecard, imo.
I think if you heavily rely on clean effective punching rather than effective aggression to score(Some dont, I personally use a mixture of both). Then yes there may have been a swing round or two(at the most). I personally didnt see any rounds that were close enough to call um swing. I dont believe in the "stealing the round" tactic, that alot of fighters try to employ. I score the entire round. In order to steal the round for me to score it in that fashion, you gotta land a puch that clearly effects the other fighter. I didnt see Broner do such.

Now he had his moments in some rounds no doubt about that John my man. But it was far too inconsistant for me to award him the round. I mean in one round(I forget which one)Broner landed only six shots but got touched by like 30. His shots were the cleaner more concise shots, but his output was so dismal that I couldnt say he won the round, and keep a straight face.

But I'm with ya. He did land the cleaner more crisper punches of the two.

Absolutely Al homie. Now if he had shut Ponce down like Floyd shut Shane down("Show me the Jab Shane. Show me the mutha****in Jab Shane" *Floyd lands straight right hand consistantly, while taunting*)I wouldn't have nothin to say about a lil bit of showboating. But he basically gave the fight away with his inactivity. I'm sure Aaron Pryor was pissed at his performance, and let him know about it later that evening. LOL.

I thought it was close but Leon should have won. Broner had all the tools to beat Leon but he's a bit green and didn't capitalize on them. That one score card was ridiculous and would have been regardless of who he gave it to. That fight was way closer than that.

Typical black fighter against a Mexican, always staying away from danger even though you have the size and speed advantage. Cowards. Ponce was robbed, he was the aggressor even though he was much smaller !!!!!!!

Broner lost that fight. Idc wat any1 says. Haymon and HBO make sure his guys don't lose imo. That's why I root for all of them to LOSE. Shout out to Max Kellerman for throwing in how Juanma destroyed Ponce De Leon in 1 round during the broadcast. That's how u make a statement, Broner should have tried to do the same. Esspecially since he was the much bigger man.

I had it 6-4 PDL. I could have seen it being 5-5 though. PDL has every right to be pissed. He won the fight. It wasn't an outright robbery, but a gift for sure. And 99-91 is complete garbage.
