I think Alvarez is Oscar's kid compare the photos of both. The white Mex Alvarez destroyed a terrible disgracefull Hatton. Hatton is a 4 round fighter. Plus he is the ugliest man on earth.

& clown ass ****** Broner got blessed with a S H I T BAG decision!!! Ponce De León definitely won & got ROBBED!!! Lets see when he faces top of the line 130 pounders... I could even see Litzau beating him!!!
I agree with your accessment of both fights. Canello was in with a punching bag who he could hit all night with power punches but he never had Hatton in serious trouble. Hmm, makes me wonder about his punching power. I can't wait to see clown ass ****** Broner get his ass handed to him, and that will happen when he takes a real step up. That one judge who had him winning 9 rounds needs to be investigated. He should no be a judge of fights.

The Racket Squad: The Night The Music Died

The biggest news made on HBO's double troubling telecast of March 5 has little to do with Alvarez/Broner/De Leon nor Hatton.
It is the official coronation of Max Kellerman as a primary commentating shill for Golden Boy and his corporate pals at HBO.
When Max uttered the unbelievable premise that 'Canelo' was a 'prodigy', I nearly collapsed from a combo of laughter and deceit.
I have respected Kellerman since his public access television programs of the1990's. He brought a fresh voice to the art of painting a picture during the process of the actual fistic enactment.
Well that was once upon a time.

Here are the Webster Dictionary top 5 definitions for the word 'prodigy'.

              1) a person, especially a child or young person, having extraordinary talent or ability: a musical prodigy.
              2. a marvelous example (usually followed by of ).
              3. something wonderful or marvelous; a wonder.
              4. something abnormal or monstrous.
              5. Archaic . something extraordinary regarded as of prophetic significance

There is not a single defined element of that word that places Saul Alvarez in the catagory of the second coming.
The term is generally described to punctuate the gifts of musical genius.
Great fighters do capture that concept and rhythm. They dance deftly and sing a pugilistic song that few have been blessed with.
Ali, Arguello, Pryor, Pernell, the fluid aggression of Duran, the lightness that was Ray Leonard and of course the grace of Henry Armstrong. These men enhanced already intrinsic greatness.
Barney Ross, Benny Leonard, Joe Frazier, Wilfredo Benitez !
              Those cats could wail!

Alvarez wailed on a weaker, slower Matt Hatton for 12 full stanzas and was presented with a make believe title that sounds like the ones they once presented in Pro Wrestling 30 years ago. (And NEW Intercontinental Champion, Bruno Sammartino!)

Alvarez was also rewarded for not making weight.
The 70 grand he lost are the peanuts that De La and HBO will make the fan pay for. I anticipate 24 months of soft touches that shall be promoted to look like actual risks.
One look at the expected Pac/Mosely numbers already defines a sad truth.
There is a sucker born every minute.

Would Oscar allow Saul to face a Berto?
This 'prodigy' ain't ready for Carnegie Hall.
The first time 'Canelo' faces a power puncher with a little speed on a level playing field, Golden Boy will have lost the glow that now emanates from this Golden Egg.
Max will also have to start reading the dictionary and find more suitable terms for what I define as the mediocre.

In the age of hype, there are some facts regarding this young, alleged wizard that cannot be disregarded.

He did not make 150 for his coming out party, his defense is medium at best, his footwork is uneven, he still does not know how to distribute his weight to get the best force from his power shots and cannot seem to KO anyone under 40 years of age since he got a new publicist.

Hatton was as game as they come.
For those not blinded by promotional skills, he was victorious in defeat as are many guys brought in as set ups.
It was not a pretty sight nor night and the blame cannot be placed entirely on the less imposing back of Mr. Hatton.

It was a night of set ups.
Adrien Broner was given an enormous gift by 3 blind mice.
These are the kind of judges who will surely kill the sport.
Daniel Ponce De Leon owned the Ohio youngster for 7 of the 10 stanzas and out threw him to the tune of over 200 blows.

As if that were not bad enough, a once respected color commentator annointed a 20 year old as the new Miles Davis of the prize ring.
              Prodigy?
If that is what the young Mr. Alvarez is, Kellerman just redefined the meaning of the once meaningful word, genius.
How diluted and deluded some have become.
              To the Max dude.

              Nuff Said.

                Haters

Everyone in this forum is a bunch of haters. All you guys do is talking bad about fighters. You people are never happy with a boxer’s performance. Give Canelo a break the guy is 20 years old. Hatton is no bum; the guy has work hard to where he is at. Come on guys don't be so ignorant with your comments. You guys are the ones killing the sport of boxing with you negative comments.

and also the WBC Super Welterweight Champion of the world. Whether he or anyone else like it he is now subject to everyone taking the views on him.
Hatton is no bum; the guy has work hard to where he is at.
While I wouldn't say he is a bum he isn't a even a fringe contender in the division he belongs at. Since you seem to know a bit about him tell me what is his signature win?

seems your ignorance is getting in the way of the truth and if your getting offended by the debating of whether Canelo is a legit champion or not maybe message board discussion is not you cup of tea
