What a punch... That's my favorite stoppage in a long time. I bet Mabuza doesn't remember **** after that hard ass left. He'll be shocked to know he instinctively continued.
like i said earlier,i always thought zab was a jr welter, welter just was not for him,his body isn't for that weight,he seems kind of small for 147,although i don't think he's that good because his opponent to me wasn't that great to begin with, khan even though i don't think he's the best either would beat him
Zab shut me up... I could've sworn he was going to get stopped.
And if he didn't land that shot, we would be talking about him being the one getting stopped. Mabuza was swarming him, wearing him down, and landing more and more as the rounds went on. He had him uncomfortable for 90% of the fight, just moving excessively, and even hurt him in the 6th.
The only shot I gave Zab of winning was an early KO, but he didn't get an early KO, showed heart, intelligence, and found a way to win. Props to him, he worked hard for this and should enjoy this.

Mabuza is not great, neither is Zab. But both of these fighters are just one of those fighters who are better than their record shows. Both coming in with 6 losses, this was both of their chances to get in the top 140 pound talks. Zab Judah didn't let Mabuza's record fool him and he took him serious unlike he did with Baldomir who at the time was better than his record showed obviously having not lost in 20 fights straight before fighting Judah. This was a very good, tough, durable opponent who believe it or not, people thought could have stopped Judah.
I am very happy for Judah and I hope he continues his win streak against the top 5 JWWs.
So unless JMM is in a fight where he's a massive underdog, it's not good enough for you?
Ridiculous, what makes it even worse is that he already had one of those in his last 3 fights. JMM would be the favorite against Judah, but he'd be giving away every physical advantage in that fight (speed, size, power, etc.). I want the best matchups too, but that's just absurd. JMM's been getting the shaft for the better part of his career, so it's only right he makes history.
I like JMM too, but with Morales fighting Maidana that has lost points in my book as a JMM supporter. And it will further erode my support for him if Barrera fights Rios. Don't try to tell me Judah is better than either of those guys because he's not. Not hating, just telling it how I think it is.
