Honda Center, Anaheim, California - Undefeated junior middleweight James Kirkland (26-0, 22KOs) made his highly anticipated return to the ring after serving a several months of a prison sentence for violating his parole in 2009. Kirkland hardly broke a sweat as he disposed of Ashandi Gibbs (10-3, 4KOs) in a mere 34 seconds. James wasted no time as he jumped on his opponent as soon as the bell rang. Gibbs tried to exchange with Kirkland but caught a flush left hook that put him down on the canvas and would not get up. Kirkland was visibly pumped for the fight and looked happy to be back in the ring doing what he does best.
