Well, I don't know about the possibility of the fight going there, but the largest stadium in Germany is Westfalenstadion, Dortmund with a capacity of ~ 80,000 in the stands, and the pitch itself can certainly fit a couple of thousand seats. It is about an hour away from Bielefeld (roughly sixty miles distance).

Commerzbank in Frankfurt was mentioned by another poster as a possible venue, which puts you about 170 miles away (three hours).

The Olympic Stadium in Berlin is also an option I'd think, with its 75,000 capacity. Though it may no be as suitable for a boxing ring, as the upper seating extends farther back horizontally rather than higher, which makes it harder to view the tiny ring in the center.

While this sounds like good news and all, we've been down this road before.

I, for one, am not going to get excited until they are actually in a ring together.

Yeah I agree I'm not going to believe it till after the fight occurs and at this point I'm not sure I'll believe it afterwards either.

There's no Setanta to screw us over this time, so barring any actual genuine injuries, this is gonna finally happen!

Chisora has a guardian angel taking care of him.

Nice. I like watching fights that guarantee a knockout win.

There will be too much money on the table for either men to pull out of this fight.

Haye has no choice to take this fight due to retirement and Wlad has no choice due to the Chisora cancellation fiasco. This fight WILL happen.

Or am I just being too optimistic!!?

How did you work that one out? After the last farce of a HW world championship fight held in England I hope they never hold a World title fight again.
