OMG manny counters. but everybody counters. they teach you counters like the 1st week.

but i think we would all agree he is not a "counter puncher" type fighter-- ala Floyd, JMM, etc.

that is not to say that he's not a great fighter or that he sucks-- just means counter punching isn't the main **** on his mind.

Porter will be a really good sparring partner to prepare for Shane.

This fight with Cotto is when I believe Manny was at his peak/best. He was said to be worried of Cotto and trained accordingly... Since then he hasn't looked nearly as fast/strong IMO. He may get up for the JMM or FM Jr. fight if it ever happens.

He's already started stamina training for Mosley. I think he wants to be at his peak for this one. He had some distractions for Margarito, but obviously didn't affect him. Think he wants to be razor sharp for this one though since it has a chance to be his biggest fight PPV wise and will have unprecedented coverage.

I think we'll see Manny at his Cotto fight level, maybe even sharper this time out

He's definitely not the one dimensional brawler he was when he fought both Morales and JMM the first time. Some people just can't understand that someone with the right teacher can get better...

You may be right. This is his first fight under the Showtime/CBS banner.. I'm sure he wants to give this one his best. If Manny uses the footwork/movement he had vs. ODLH.. combined with the speed/power he had vs. Cotto.. this will be a long night for Shane. The Manny who fought Margarito may have trouble and Shane might be able to catch him. If Tony was catching Pacquiao with shots, Mosley will even moreso.

ONLY Mayweather Wants NO Part Of Pacquiao!

Hatton, Dela Hoya, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley, Marquez have ALL had the balls to fight, or demand a fight with Manny Pacquiao. If they haven't fought Manny yet, they anxiously await their turn. Runaway Floyd Mayweather wants no part of Manny. Floyd has come up with every excuse in the book NOT to fight him. Claiming steroid concerns, making that ******, egotistical, third party statement, "All roads go thru Floyd Mayweather". Sure. Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Arguello, even Mosley and Dela Hoya took on the best of the best, win, lose, or draw, multiple times, often fighting guys bigger than they were. Those were Legends. Mayweather isn't even close to that category no matter what his hand picked record looks like. Floyd is a coward, period; the only guy afraid to step in with Manny...buying time hoping someone else upsets Pacquiao so he doesn't have to fight him. What a weasel.
