    The Hawaiian Punch

Brian Viloria (18-0, 12 KOs) won the WBC mini flyweight championship with of an awesome first round destruction Eric Ortiz (24-5-1, 16 KOs). Late in round one, "The Hawaiian Punch" connected with a big right hand that knocked the champion on his back and when Ortiz tried to get up, he stumbled back to the canvas prompting a stoppage by referee Raul Caiz Jr. at 2:59.

Promoter Bob Arum said Top Rank has big matches in store for new WBC 108lb champion Brian Viloria, possibly the winner of Arce-Hussein or Ivan Calderon.

Wow, those are some great potential match ups!

Calderon is class all the way, but Viloria is a vicious puncher. The Arce/Hussy winner is also a fantastic match up.

Good to see the little guys generating excitment.

I remember seeing this guy when he was about 15-0. Glad to see his career going in the right direction.

That was some brutal Hawaiian punch. Most ref's wouldn't have bothered to count on those kind of knockdowns.

You know it's a KO shot when a guy's knee buckles like that.
