Doesn't seem like "wisdom" to me, it seems like the usual crap a not too bright PR guy would spout, with a few slip-ups here and there. Calling Rick Hatton a"Joe Shmoe" then " despite where he comes from" as if the Manchester area was some sort of pest hole..... etc. that's insulting.

Then he ays you have to fight the "best" and in the same breath that "you have to fightnwhoever they put in fron of you".......... more generally a contradiction iin terms.

Then he says that the TV, arena's etc are "minor" matters, when we ALL know that they are the most MAJOR matters in boxing today. I'm paraphrasing a little but I think I have it more or less as the aticle says.

If anyone is a "Joe Shmoe" it is Oscar.

Oscar is right. A lot of these fighters want to be businessman before they have even won a world championship or beaten elite competition.

Prove yourself in the ring first then you can start negotiating the big money.
