Looks like the "Wlad-Chisora is cancelled" thread from yesterday got deleted.
But there's another one today.
Aye, it was me who created it, I dunno why it was deleted and why there was not just a post dispelling the rumour if it was false. Probably because I mentioned ESB, the people that run BoxingScene and ESB have some petty policy of blocking each other's sites. It's all a bit school yard and childish. I personally feel that both sites have positives and negatives, firstly BoxingScene's news coverage can't be topped, and Eástside's discussion of boxing outside of America is much more frequent, especially the British Boxing forum, you get some actual boxers and pundits who post on there. I post on both and enjoy both for different reasons.
So yeah, instead of this small minded "We only want people visiting our site" I'd like the top boxing sites to understand that the relaying of links to different boxing sites is good for the fans.
Some idiots keep making threads here and in other boxing forums saying Chisora-Wlad has been cancelled.
The fight is still on for April 30!
Rick Reeno spoke to Warren and K-2 yesterday and both confirmed that this fight is ON.
Haye also confirmed in an interview yesterday that the Wlad-Chisora fight is on and said it isn't a problem as far as he's concerned, which is hilarious considering he claimed until recently that it was his sole reason for pulling out of his fight with Wlad.
According to this Ukranian source they are saying Haye refused to let Vitali be stand by to step in on July 2 incase Wlad got injured so Wlad had to drop Chisora to make the Haye fight.
Considering Haye himself confirmed only yesterday that Wlad-Chisora is on and that he has no problem with it, it's obvious that these Ukrainian sources are just fantasising, although I'm a bit baffled by what their motives are for spreading these silly rumours.
In addition to the fact that Haye, K2, Warren and Chisora have all confirmed in the past 24 hours that the fight is definitely going ahead, the fact is that Warren has a watertight contract for the fight and has made it clear that he is not willing to accept step-aside money.
Originations of these rumors are coming from someone from E S B. I should not rely on internet articles.
So all the Ukrainian sites that have been spreading the rumour have picked it up from ESB? If you're right that's pretty funny, although it does sort of make sense, as I can't think of any reason why any Ukrainian site would want to knowingly spread such a silly rumour. It still seems odd, and funny, that several Ukrainian sites would apparently take articles on ESB at face value, without any checking.

Actually all these ukrainian sites have their source as a thread on either allboxing.ru or esb. Esb rumor mill is guilty 90% of time when it concerns Klitschko news.
I think my favorite was when the famous "Klitschko-Brewster 2" thread which in return gave birth to an article which suggested that Klitschko already signed Lamon for a rematch, when Wlad clearly was still looking for an opponent put enough media and internet pressure on him to get Brewster specifically. Yes, internet wishful thinking was exactly what put Wlad get Lamon again, as they were in doubt after he lost to Lyakhovich

I guess that may well be the real reason why the admins here try to block links to ESB and sometimes pull threads that relate to ESB articles - not because "we only want people visiting our site", as another poster claimed, but because they simply don't want to have to spend a lot of their time dispelling silly rumours that were started on ESB.
