It may be due to the fact that they're both in the p4p top 3-4, come from the same hometown General Santos City, and Donaire is slowly following Manny's path by moving up in weight.

But you're right, I don't know why people must knock the other person down. I like them both in their own respect.

Roach is absolutely right. People are getting silly with the Donaire praise now. I called an early stoppage for Donaire back when there was just whispers of a Montiel fight. Pacquiao rose the ranks, fought the best, and did the unexpected time after time. I personally think it's too late in Nonito's career to catch up, but we'll see.
