Filipino style is all about power and speed as some said they lack defense. A perfect example is Bernabe Conception, Boom Boom Bautista and you can check Lorenzo Villanueva he has great power but no def.

I think Elorde is enough to match them. If not lets include Pancho Villa I think the Pinoys don't need to list Pacquiao to match the Japanese HOFs.

elorde is the other
and japan has harada.
pac isnt in and overall there arent many asians in. so i guess u can say they have one more. if that makes u feel better. i think there should be a whole lot more asians altogether and many of the ppl i would name would be japanse. they have won more world championships than any other asian country.

ok so u got one point. i mean its a travesty that there are only 4 or 5 asians in the hof, but it is what it is.
my point still stands tho. japan produces the superior talent overall. j

Has Elorde gym produced any good fighters? Just curious. No disrespect intended, but I don't think the Philippines has any elite trainers or world class gyms yet, but I could be mistaken. The ALA gym might be the closest thing the Philippines has to a world class stable but it still has a way to go.
Like I said, Japanese fighters have good benefits by receiving good training from gyms and trainers. Being able to make good money fighting at home with its strong currency also has its advantages (hometown decisions and hometown crowds). But I also think Japanese fighters are very talented as well.
I think its great so see such great Filipino fighters despite its proximity and disadvantages. I expect to see the Philippines to produce even more world class fighters as its gyms and trainers continue to improve.Last edited by AdamantiumPI; 03-05-2011, 05:44 PM.
