my observations on pac and morales

it seems freddie roach is doing some great work with pac as far has the right hook is concerned. pac threw a number of 'check lead hooks' last night that he never had before as well as a few uppercuts. although his short punches aren't that polished yet it's comming along (and he will need it if he rematches morales). kudos to pac on that. other than that i was not too impressed with pac. freddie kept telling him to move his head (something he does well in training but not in fights) and everytime pac missed with his left he got countered with a short right(too reliant on his left straight). this is not a good sign if he wants a rematch with morales. if he is going to lunge with that left straight he should at least grab hld of his opponent and not be left so off balance and out of position after the blow. is it me or is pac just missing a lot of fundamentals? i think to have a better outting with morales pac should work on his short punches more and concentrate on opening head shots by working the body more as well (something oddly pac does not do more often). he should learn how to stay in the ocket without getting hit...which means better side-stepping and laterall movement (instead of backing up straight and flailing his arms around, which looks really bad). this is basic and he should be able to pick this up quick.

as for morales, he seemed like erik morales last night. he just got in with a guy who is a slick natural 135 pounder. although he DID score a knockdown on the 11th...i have never seen erik so dominated in such a fashion with him not being able to fire back in kind. i winced when erik got caught with that lead right hand and stummbled out to the ropes...if you watch the tape it was no slip...he was out on his feet and he only had his heart and the ropes to keep him up. maybe the style is what got to morales? i don't think it was only that. can you imagine smoke gainer doing that to erik morales? neither can i. i think it was a combination of things. erik just stepped up to the wrong weight with the wrong guy who had the wrong style. now people are going to hark that erik has taken too many fights and blah,blah,blah...but in truth erik looked like a fish out of water.

as far as the rematch with pac. i'm sorry to say that i believe erik takes another win (it's hard for me to even type that b/c of my filipino blood). the veteran boxer/puncher takes the younger free swinging unpolished pac to school...again.

Sorry, you're "observations on pac and morales" is very hard to read.. I'm not killing my eyes doing so...
My advise to you is: try Capitalize each sentence and use paragraphs. This will show your consideration towards others.

I'll respond to your thread however to keep it alive.. and maybe someone else will comment on your thought!

Raheem is not a natural 135lber.

      He's up from featherweight.

actually manny steward even said that he was starving himself at geatherweight. he definately was more lively at 135 and had a bit more pop on his punches.
