I think a lot of people are overrating Lucas.

And most people seem to be picking him because they enjoy his style.

Lucas doesn't fight like Kotenlik or Bradley.

He's a pressure fighter that boxes a little.

He will play right into Alexander's style.

I agree with this. I think either guy would beat Devon at this point. I think it's way too soon for him to be fighting another top contender after quitting in his last fight. It's actually HBO's fault for their guarantee that win or lose, you will get another 7 figure payday on HBO. I know Devon wants the money but if he and his team were smart, they would go back to the drawing board and stay away from the likes of Maidana or Matthysse. He's only 23 and showed his immaturity the way he fought against Bradley and was totally afraid to engage. What's gonna happen now when a guy like Matthysse brings some major power that Bradley doesn't have. I see a KO coming in this fight...

yeah i think dudes are underrating devon like hes trash..... he lost to bradley the best in the division in a competitve bout, i got devon cos matthyse is average and hasnt beat anyone except demarcus "shot shot" corley who is as u guessed shot lol

yeah i know. he needs a new camp to work on his flaws, i doubt cunningham will do anything besides talking. i actually was rooting for alexander in the bradley fight. he pissed it away not trying to make something out of the first few couple of rounds, and then got cut worse and worse and took an easy way out. HBO is really ****** for promising him another big payday as well..i don't think he will start making serious changes until he hits rock bottom. hopefully this fight comes close to making that happen, so devon can actually start to bettering his career...we're just going to have to see though.

maidana beat matthysse 4 out of 5 times in the amateurs and the other was a draw. yea i know its only the amateurs but just a head to head reference.

Matthysse is a better technical fighter, clearly, but Maidana probably has more heart and he's more determined. Like Maidana will get dirty, he does all that he can to win.
