"El Matador" Ricardo Mayorga (29-7, 23KOs) is predicting a big win by knockout on March 12, when he challenges WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (35-2, 28KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayorga says he is going to knock Cotto out in the early rounds and then make him a member of Ricky Martin's band. Mayorga has no intention of letting the fight go the distance. He wants to get an early knockout so he can back his demand for a fight with Manny Pacquiao.

This is the only reason Mayorga keeps getting high profile fights way after his prime (Trinidad, ODLH, Mosley, Vargas and now Cotto). If they guy could fight as good as he talks, he would be the greatest fighter ever. I still think the best thing he ever said was calling ODLH a gay f@ggot and insulting him at every corner, and then two days before the fight he calls ODLH on the phone and asks for more money! Only Mayorga could insult a guys manhood and then have the balls to call him up saying Don King is lowballing him and he wants another million dollars...

Regarding the fight, Mayorga's chin is not what it used to be so Cotto should be able to KO him in the mid rounds. And since this is a HBO or Showtime caliber fight that isn't PPV worthy, I won't pay for it, I will be watching the free fight on HBO instead and try to catch a replay later. Barring Mayorga getting lucky, I don't see him winning....
