, @ comparing Martinez 2 best wins of his whole career. Not just the last 2 fights. But, he's 2 best wins in his whole career to Pac wins who are not even top 5 maybe not even top 10 best wins.
Martinez doesn't have a win that is remotely close to as good of a win as the first Barrera win.
Beating Pavlik and P-Will is like beating Sasakul and Ledwaba.
That may have been the case if both weren't champ at 154.But 1 can definitely compare their last 2 fight bro.Even their upcoming 1's.Remember Martinez has lost his standing's on some pfp lists.Even though he's looked amazing & put forth better wins against higher caliber fighters than most of those above him.A boxing fan(myself) has the right to defend him against the barbaric hoard that intend to not give him his just due, that is all.
Pac is p4p n.1 because of his whole body of work.. he's beaten ATG's in the lower weights
and even though the level of opposition he has faced lately has lowered, he still did what he had to do, he completely outclassed them.
Comparing Donaire with Martinez is a lot more fair because they have similar kind of resumes, with 2 big wins.. and yeah, i'd put Donaire above Martinez now because, IMO, his wins are better
Donaire :
Montiel - n.1 Bantam, top 10 p4p and on a big winning streak
Darchinyan - n.1 Flyweight, top 10 p4p, the beast at 112 lbs
you could even put Sidorenko in there, a top 118 lber
Martinez :
Pavlik - Lineal MW champ, never beaten at 160 lbs, but BHop took something out of him.. good win nonetheless
Williams - top 5 p4p, but doesnt belong at MW.. still a win over a world-class opponent
they both beat top fighters.. but Donaire's opponents were on a roll and he starched them.

That is the 3rd time I read on here that Darchinyan was #1 at that weight...
Are people saying that to actually make that win better than what it really is? Because, you don't have to do that at all. What Darchyinyan did after shows how good that win is. Hell Darchinyan went on a better run after that fight than what Donaire did.
So there is no reason to make things up and say that Darchinyan was #1 and the best at that time at 112. He probably was the most popular in the U.S due to his power and connection with Shaw and Showtime. But, he was not #1 and not the best at that weight-class.
You can also throw in Bunema for Martinez. And, really Cintron should count too because that was 2 robberies in one fight. But, whatever....
