Comments Thread For: Donaire Can Go To 130, Maybe 135-Pounds, Says Garcia

Trainer Robert Garcia, who knows what it takes to be a world champion at 130 pounds, sees Growing Boy Nonito Donaire Jr., one of his two prized pupils along with new lightweight ruler Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios, topping out a junior lightweight but possibly bulking up to the 135 pound limit in the years ahead.

I hope the fight is in Oakland. I'll be there.

Nonito has the frame to support 130. If he carries that power LW is doable as well. I'm ready to see him at Feather.

haven't we already been over this? They are weight divisions and not height divisions. So using your comparision what you want to say is Donaire may end up like Cotto after he was done picking on little guys at 140. In Cotto's four biggest fights at welterweight (Margarito, Clottey, Mosley, Pacquiao) he doesn't KO any of them.

If the man can make 118 lbs easily, why the hell should he move up, just to make you happy? He just moved up to 118 lbs, let him unify and then he can kick the **** out of WV2 at 122 lbs before moving up to 126 lbs. Plus you said he's too used to guys taking his punch? WTF? He is knocking everyone out...

Who cares how high a fighter can go, what matter is the weight that they are fighting now. They just had the same topic with Juan manuel Lopez
