There was a boxingscene article last Friday saying that his May date had been pulled from him by Sky and given to Warren, and Haye also admitted it in one of his interviews yesterday (the BBC one I think, although it may have been the Sky one).
And even before the announcement that Sky had pulled the plug it was obvious that they must have been the reason for Haye's u-turn, because Wlad is still fighting Chisora in April, so the reasons Haye gave for pulling out in January still apply. The primary reason he gave was that Wlad couldn't possibly fight him only 9 weeks after fighting Chisora. If that was true then, it's true now. Then the next day he said that 9 weeks isn't long enough to promote the fight. If that was true then, it's true now. Then the day after that, he said he had to fight his mandatory. Regardless of whether his mandatory is Chagaev or Povetkin, if that was true then, it's true now, especially as he said only last week that he was in talks to fight Povetkin in May, and that that would be his mandatory, should the BBBC rule against Chagaev fighting in the UK.
But Sky obviously decided that the biggest box office fight in their history was slipping away from them, so they killed the Povetkin fight by pulling the May date and giving it to Warren, which forced Haye's hand.Last edited by Dave Rado; 03-03-2011, 12:01 AM.Comment

Haye has no legacy, he hasn't done jack shit at HW.
If David "The Ducker" Haye pussies out yet again and retires without facing a Klitschko, he will go down as the biggest coward of all time.Comment
