This Is What I Hate About Boxing Forums

people get like this and start discrediting a fightings accomplishments, after a loss. It's sickening, we honestly don't need any more threads about morales dropping off the p4p list or about how he is overrated. People get a grip on reality, people lose and styles makes fights. I guess everyone was use to Morales beating everyone except Barrera twice, and just aren't use to him losing. Same thing happened to Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins, Barrera, Pacquaio, Tszyu. I guess people are just alittle emotional after a fight and get caught up in the hoopla. If a fighter beats a hall of fame fighter it does not make them great. Hatton, Tarver, Taylor are not GREAT and have a ways to go to be great.

you gotta admit. That performance of Raheem gaint Morales was awesome.

Hatton's performance and Jermain's was nowhere close to what Raheem put out on Morales.

      apparently, he was overrated.
everyone was talking about how good he was, and if he retired now he would be one of the top three mexican fighters ever.
he got beat by a mediocre fighter at best, and like ive been saying all along, was being overrated by many people

I think a lot of people are just getting back at Morale's fans who have done it to their fighters before. Payback can be a ***** sometimes.

We dont know if Raheem is a mediocre fighter yet... He has a long time ahead of him in a weight class filled with talent.

And yes I do think that Morales should be dropped off the LB/LB list. He was thoroughly dominated. It doesnt matter that he wasnt the stronger fighter, it has to do with him not being able to overcome adversity. Raheem was jumping in , putting a couple shots on and jumping out or clinching and Morales couldnt land anything. This was because the only thing Morales was targeting was the head. Why didnt Morales go for the more or less stationary body? I think part of the blame has to go on his idiotic corner which was telling him lies about the ref being against him instead of giving him a plan of attack.

raheem, up to this point is a very very mediocre fighter.
until this fight, there was nothing special about him.

one loss should not drop morales off the p4p list, he was top five. he obviously should be consideribly lower, but then again, i always had barrera in front of him anyways...

Look back into history. Many hall of famers have lost to mediocre fighters some time in their careers

i knew this was gonna be a tough fight but i ddint know raheem would do this to erik. this fight made me like erik more did ya see him trying to make raheem fight with him by fighting with 1 hand and winning that way. raheem was too fast and to big, erik looked sluggish and looked confused. i dont care erik will be back hes allowed 1 ****ty fight in his career.

exactly, morales fans have forever talked about how he is one of the best ever and would beat floyd etc etc.
at the same time, dont underrate morales because of one fight. we need to see a rematch of this one...
